1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using BudgetOps ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Description of Service

BudgetOps is a cloud-based budget management platform for startups and companies. Features include hierarchical budget planning, expense tracking, invoice workflows with approval chains, monthly planning with scenarios, vendor management, data import/export, and audit logging.

3. Account Registration

You must provide a valid email address and a password of at least 8 characters. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You may optionally enable two-factor authentication (TOTP) for additional security.

4. Subscription Tiers

The Service offers multiple tiers (Free, Starter, Professional, Enterprise) with different feature limits. Free accounts are subject to usage limits on budgets, team members, and tenants. Paid plans may be introduced in the future; we will provide advance notice of pricing changes.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of applicable laws
• Upload malicious files, malware, or content that infringes third-party rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or infrastructure
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or scrape the Service
• Use automated systems to access the Service in a manner that exceeds reasonable usage

6. Your Data

You retain ownership of all data you input into the Service ("Your Data"). We do not sell or share Your Data with third parties for advertising purposes. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display Your Data solely to provide the Service. You may export or delete Your Data at any time (see our Privacy Policy).

7. Invoice Attachments & Uploaded Files

Files uploaded as invoice attachments are stored on our infrastructure within the EU (Frankfurt, Germany). You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any documents. We do not access or review file contents except as necessary to provide the Service or comply with legal obligations.

8. Availability & Support

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance when possible. The Service is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind, express or implied.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BudgetOps shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or ₪100, whichever is greater.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice when practicable. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days to allow retrieval, then permanently deleted.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Israel.
